Sarasota Rural Heritage

My research started in 2008 on the land development pressures being placed on Sarasota Cattle Ranchers. This project was completed in 2013, and gathered data to influence policy that might open public lands to cattle ranchers in Florida. This project seeks to produce a win-win outcome by preserving the cultural heritage and economic contribution of cattle ranching to the state while supporting a cost effective environmentally sustainable method for land management within the county.
